At the 2016 MusCan (Canadian University Music Society) Conference, we'll be presenting this mini-recital program of recent Canadian works for flute, cello, and piano.  Alice Ho's "Cothurnus" and Kati Agoc's "Caritas" are the two trio works on the program, but we'll also perform our good friend Andrew Staniland's fantastic duo "Flute vs, Cello," commissioned by Michelle and Nathan in 2012.

ADMISSION: MusCan conference registration

Tag!

A concert of solo, duo, and trio repertoire that spans musical theatre to modern melody - all delivered with the group’s trademark wit and instrumental virtuosity. The program is a fast-paced mix of music, and includes virtuosic solo piano arrangements of musical theatre and popular tunes by Gershwin, Quilter, and Rogers/Hammerstein, the beautiful trio Voces de mi Tierra by Spanish-American Elisenda Fábregas, Canadian Karim Al-Zand’s duo for flute and cello, and the ever popular Carnival of Venice variations.

The title Tag! is a reference both to the game of tag that we all play as kids and also the professional wrestling tag team match in which teammates tag each other into participation. No two consecutive pieces on the program will have the same combination of players in it. And, we have a couple of surprises planned too so be sure to be there if you're in town on the 26th!

ADMISSION: $20 adults; $15 students/seniors
Tickets available at the door.
